Consultant Professor
For each postgraduate student who attends the Program, a consultant Professor is appointed by the Special Inter-Institutional Committee. The consultant Professor is a teacher of the Program and belongs to one of the partner bodies, such as a professor of any grade, lecturer, or researcher of any rank. The Consultant Professor is responsible for monitoring and supervising the progress of the postgraduate student.
Fellowships and Support
The Program provides a scholarship of 500 Euros to a student who achieved the highest average grade in the 1st-semester exams and to a student who achieved the highest average grade in the 2nd-semester exams. Students are also encouraged to seek additional fellowships to support their studies. It is suggested to inquire at the following foundations:

- Onassis Foundation
- Stavros Niarchos Foundation
- Additionally, students should check whether there are Educational Agreements between their country and Greece that include provisions for student fellowships.

The Division of Animal and Human Physiology of the Department of Biology operates the Teaching Hall “Petros Vlachos” that is equipped with instruments/systems for tele-education (teaching from a distant site or to a distant site). There is also the technical infrastructure for live streaming of the lectures and for teleconferencing.

Library Services
Library of the School of Sciences
At the School of Sciences, there is a library with excellent air-conditioned reading rooms equipped with computers. Access to electronic journals and databases is possible. The Library of the Faculty of Sciences is housed in an autonomous four-storey building between the Departments of Mathematics and Physics buildings. The main entrance is next to the building of the Physics Department (Aristotle Conference Center). It has an additional entrance to the corridor of the 3rd floor of the Department of Mathematics.

- ID Card
- Proof of university community membership (such as an ID card or student identity)
- Two (2) passport-sized photos (one for students with the new academic identity, faculty members, and other staff of the NCSI who wish to use the University ID card as a Library member).
Compliance with the above data is subject to the Privacy Act.
Your Library member card will be issued to you on the following day from the Third Floor Service Desk. It’s essential to keep this card with you at all times when visiting the Library to access its services. Please note that:
- Library card is non-transferable and is meant for the cardholder's use only.
- In case of any changes in your contact information (such as address or telephone number), kindly inform the Library Secretariat.
- If there is a change in your membership status or if you lose your card, you will need to provide one (1) photo to the Library Secretariat. They will cancel the old card and issue a new one.
For user categories that cannot borrow materials, access to the Library is permitted by presenting an official identity document (e.g., police ID, driver’s license) at the Third Floor Service Desk.

Through the Hellenic Academic Libraries Network (HEAL-Link), the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens provides electronic access to over 10,000 journal titles spanning various subjects. Specifically:
